57th Perez Family Reunion

So this is how long the Perez annual reunion, it started with Jett's Lola and their siblings. I think they are about a dozen.. not really sure on this. So as the years went by this has been a tradition already.

December 25, woke up late then we had Andres open some presents since he still has a lot! Then had our breakfast of leftover lasagna and ham. After that we prepared for the reunion it will start around 12noon with a mass. So since we already heard mass we just took our time and arrived at Claret in UP around 12:30. The usual greeting among the immediate relatives plus the whole clan. I am telling you there's really a lot of relatives in the place. It's nice seeing long lost relatives even if it's just once a year.

Upon entering the venue you will have to register and the reason that we all have our ID (parang school), since these are relatives that you don't often see at least you get to know their name if you talk with each other. After mass, welcome remarks and lunch was served. It was catered, food was yummy and there's lechon :). After that program started, it was only this year that each family should present an AVP, to know the history of each since it's now on the 4th generation. So at least the new generation will have some family background. Some games and presentation for each family. The kids were asked to go to the stage to dance... of course the little boy also had his share. Hay I am one proud mama, as in he danced on the stage without any qualms and he really enjoyed the stage.. as in.. hahahaha. We then had mereinda :)

Then the last part of program in yearly "paskuhan". Hahahaha.. each family(meaning each clan) will go to the stage for a family picture after that all those working will have to stay and give money to the kids (meaning as long as you are still studying you are qualified). So this will go on and on untill all family had their chance on the stage. So this means since we have Andres already.. pila na din siya.. hehehehe. Funny because before Jett will just usually receive the money.. but now siya na yung kumukuha as in he want to receive all. Pero syempre pag baba sa stage bigay din kay mama. He even is saying one more to the Lolo, Lolas and Tiot and Titas, kaya ayun natuwa ata sa kanya kaya may extra pa! Then after this there will be turnover for the next year host family.. If I am not mistaken, Jett's family will host this reunion come 2009.

Gozun clan (all of us seated are the one's who's giving the money) so imagine per clan ganyan kadami or more.. so meaning more moolah for the kids :)

Our Christmas Eve '07

Ever since we got married our holidays has been equally divided among our family. Christmas eve will be with my family then Christmas day will be celebrated on Jett's family. They have a grand reunion of the Perez clan ( will have a separate post on this). Then New Year's eve will be spent at with Jett's family then the next day we will be going to my parent's house.

December 24, well had to drop by the office to submit some reports (LOOSER!), well some of my team will have to work for half day, oh well that's life. Then went to Glorietta for some last minute shopping... hahaha talk about last minute. Then Jett and I went to Paranaque, Andres was already there since Sunday. So as always I am the cook :), as per Jett's request I made some lasagna. We just had some light dinner, went to the 8 pm mass the come ten pm, we had our noche buena. We had lasagna (as always it's yummy), steak, garlic bread, salad and leche flan. We were all so full.. food was very good.. ofcpurse I am the cook :). Andres was a bit cranky by the time we had our noche buena since he did not have any nap in the afternoon. So around 11pm he opened some gifts. Since he really had a lot there's still some gifts that left unopened up until now.

Yes.. we got late for the Barney show... super traffic.. never expected this since it's a Sunday. Gosh super traffic somewhere in P Tuazon St. since Jett decided to pass by C5 from Paranque.. hay basta kung saan saan pa kami napunta since I mentioned before Araneta is a big NO for Jett.. true to his thinking we got lost hehehe.. umabot kami going to Marikina because we kept on missing the U turn slot. So we got to Araneta around 11:30 just to see the last 15 mins of the remainder of the first act.

Since we decided not to bring a camera kasi para walang ng hassle of it being confiscated, we just used our phone.. will upload pictures since nawawala yung bluetooth namin :). Pero come inside ay sus you can see a lot of camera... with matching yung iba video pa!

What can I say.. good show but short nga lang.. it's like they have two acts each with 45 mins of performance. Pero happy since Andres did watch the show and enjoyed it. Got a sigh of relief since he just watched kasi all the while I was thinking baka matakot siya since he's not really fond of mascots.. pero at least he was clapping an waving to Barney. Since we are seated on the 7th row, Jett was able to bring Andres to the front row.. pero hindi niya msyado type since the sounds is too loud for him. Buti na lang we have aisle seat so Andres can clearly see Barney from his seats. Cute nilang apat.. pero don't like the voice of Riff (the orange one)... hehehehe.. But all in all nice show since I know the little boy enjoyed it sulit na din yung almost 5K na ticket for the three of us :)

Last week we went to High St again since the little boy is so much enjoying it there with the big grounds that he can run.. hay kaka pagod. So finally we decide to try Texas something.. good food :) Sharing some photos.. sorry no kwento just pictures na lang muna:
